The Smithsonian is embarked on a major digitization campaign to make collections available anywhere in the world. Efforts include the already existing Collections Search Center catalog/database, the Encyclopedia of Life (EOL), and a new licensing agreement with Gale Cenage to create searchable databases of digitized content from the museum and research complex for libraries and researchers
